美国威斯康辛大学-云南大学微生物学博士,University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of pharmacy, USAThe Scripps Research Institute, Department of Molecular Medicine and Chemistry, USA访问学者。云南省万人(现云南省兴滇英才),云南省科技特派员,云南省优博,云南大学中青年骨干教师。现任医学院新药创制课题组PI、病原生物学教研室主任。

从事病原生物学、微生物组学及抗感染、抗肿瘤新药创制方向的科研工作。以云南药用植物为研究对象,发现了大量产生活性分子潜力的微生物资源,并从中获得了多类活性药物分子,阐释了重要分子的生物合成机制,构建了大量遗传改造工程菌株,为药物分子的药理学研究及实际应用奠定了坚实的基础;结合微生物组学探讨了病原生物的致病机制;结合基因改造技术开展了病原微生物疫苗研发及应用工作。

主持国家级、省部级、厅级等项目 12 项,项目总经费552万元。在ACS CatalysisOrganic lettersNature Communications等期刊发表论文60多篇,其中一篇论文入选ESI高被引论文。担任Nature Communications等多个SCI期刊审稿人。出版专著4部。获得授权专利8项。
